LEDs like those in these RiteLite Puck Lights provide super-bright white light and last up to 100,000 hours. They are more efficient than both standard incandescent bulbs and compact florescent bulbs, which means less energy is wasted, fewer light bulbs end up in landfills, and less money is spent by your household.
One-Touch Operation, Adjustability, and Easy Installation
The lights' one-touch operation includes a dimmer function, so you can always choose the level of light that's best suited to your setting. You simply press once for full brightness, and then press again for softer light. Pressing a third time turns the light off.
For further flexibility, each light head swivels 360 degrees and pivots 30 degrees, so you can achieve optimal light positioning based on your space and what application you've selected.
The puck lights are each powered by three standard "AAA" batteries (not included), which allows them to remain wireless. Because there's no wiring to worry about, mounting options for these units include using simple hook-and-loop tape or screw mount brackets. Battery-powered operation offers the added benefit of allowing the lights to remain operational during power outages.

Summary: "Wish I had seen the light..."
These are handy lighting devices in that they are battery powered, and come with both the screws and velcro needed for mounting. However, the light that they throw (from even a distance as close as 18") is disappointingly underpowered, and very directional as one might expect from LEDs, but sadly still true even with 5 LEDs in a single unit. The ability to "pivot" is underwhelming at best because it does little to help disperse the light, and they have very limited range to pivot.
I wouldn't buy these again - It's not that they are constructed poorly or anything, it's just that they work poorly for my intended purpose (under cabinet lighting, or at least attempted under cabinet lighting).

Lights easy to mount and really bright. Outstanding brightness and easy mounting for under cabnet. I am glad I bought extras because power out three times already. I now take them camping instead of laterns and flashlights.

Summary: "Rite-Light was the Right Purchase!"
We had purchased two other battery-powered under-cabinet lights before buying the Rite-light 5-LED puck lights, and we returned them both because they just did not emit enough light. I guess if you really want a bright light under the kitchen cabinets, you have to hard wire them in (which was not an option for us). These RightLight LED puck lights give off a little more light than others we tried, and they have been working just fine for us since we installed them about a month ago. If you are also in a situation where you can not (or can not afford to) rewire your kitchen for under cabinet lighting, I suggest you give these lights very serious consideration.
